The Daily Trust is looking for Unsung Heroes to be nominated for the year 2025

The Media Trust Group, which is responsible for publishing the Daily Trust newspapers, has made the announcement that the nomination process for its annual Unsung Heroes program has become active.

It is the intention of this event to honour ordinary Nigerians who have made outstanding achievements to the culture and society.

It was stated by the corporation that despite the widespread pessimism that exists throughout the nation, there are a great number of Nigerians that go above and beyond the requirements of their jobs in their many fields of effort.

The article pointed out that a significant number of individuals live and work in relative anonymity, but they make extraordinary contributions that elevate communities and inspire others.

These individuals, according to the firm, “are the unsung heroes of our society, toiling quietly and frequently without recognition, possibly waiting for their reward only in heaven.”

The organisation strongly encouraged members of the general public to nominate persons who fit this description by submitting their names, as well as life stories, photographs, and video clips, whenever it was feasible to do so.

Prior to the stories being published throughout the organization’s newspapers, television, radio, and internet channels, reporters from the group will visit nominees in order to check the accuracy of their reports.

It was stated that each and every nomination must be completely justified, including the nominee’s profile and contact information.

On Monday, August 25, 2025, the annual campaign, which is being referred to as the company’s symbolic “happy birthday” gift to Nigeria as it observes another year of independence, will come to an end.
